Shantria Martin, LMSW

Sometimes life throws us curve balls that can become overwhelming and difficult to deal with alone. Shantria believes that sometimes we all need a little help with journeying through some of life’s circumstances and stressors.  She prides herself on being a culturally competent therapist who provides a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals and families to work through challenges. Recognizing the impact that collective trauma has had on marginalized communities is an essential component in working with diverse populations. Shantria understands the stigma associated with mental illnesses that hinders many from seeking treatment for their mental health needs; and understands the courage that it takes to move forward with beginning therapy.

Shantria has over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. She has worked with clients with a wide range of needs and diagnoses. Evidence-based interventions to approach the unique needs of clients informs that work she does. Shantria also understand ways that environment, culture, and belief systems impact the overall individual and family system.
