Dara Auguste, MFT

I am a pre-licensed clinician with a specialization in Marriage, Couples and Family therapy. I have always been passionate and driven to help youth, young adults, and families receive the healing, restoration and understanding needed to resolve their problems. As part of the therapeutic process I work to create a warm, empathetic, and inviting atmosphere where individuals feel safe to share, explore and learn the skills needed to help them navigate their daily life challenges. Marriage and Family Therapists conceptualize using a systemic perspective which involves viewing individuals as part of a system that includes family, work, school etc. I incorporate this systemic perspective when working with clients dealing with interpersonal relationship issues, family conflict, personal growth, and self-esteem issues. The therapeutic approaches I mainly lean on include solution focused, narrative therapy, and REBT.

I discovered my love for counseling during my undergraduate tenure when I began a women’s empowerment group that focused on helping women discover their worth, improve interpersonal relational issues, and overcome their experiences with trauma, including sexual assault. My level of compassion only deepened while working within the special education department in the public school system. Give me a call and let’s start your journey to healing and wholeness together. You’ll find that I am authentic, personable, and insightful and will create an enjoyable therapeutic experience for you.
